When beginning a new adventure with the family in Texas, I also birthed my first "blog baby" along with a dear friend following her own adventure in Alaska. It is here that I will share our adventures as a family here in Texas and elsewhere. It is also a great space to watch the contrasts and similarities of two young families exploring a world away from loved ones from the two largest states in the union.
A cooking blog collaboration with my sister exploring our two personalities, secret ingredients if you will, that through the years have made for a fantastic pairing. I, Rachel, guide Emily, my sis in the classic art of preparing a meal, while Emily challenges me to be adventurous and explore the new. Our meals are rarely shared together anymore, separated by more than 1200 miles, but we continue to share, to inspire, and to taste what is at one another's table. "Hey, sis," we say, "try this."
Periodically I share reflections on faith and how it applies to families in the The Living Lutheran magazine. This publication shares news, reflections and stories from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
